Sequence Dance Club
The Modern Sequence Dance Club had their first dance on Thursday 1st November 1979 when 36 people attended.

The dances were organised by John and Lily Dearnley along with Amy Gill.
They brought their own records along, but as the Club progressed the Community Association bought additional records, building up a good selection.

Today technological advances mean that vinyl is no longer used.

The dances soon became so popular that as of 9th September 1981 the Club began to meet on Wednesday afternoons as well.

For a long time dances continued on both Wednesdays and Thursdays. But eventaully
the Thursday Evening dances were dropped.

The Club though still meets on Wednesday each week.

Members meet in the Village Hall from 2.00pm to 4.00pm

Anyone is welcome to come and enjoy this friendly and enjoyable pastime.

The Club has on several occasions raised money towards worthy causes and also organises week long trips to various resorts - to go sequence dancing of course!
